Legacy goes further into the future of the timeline than any other piece of Star Wars media. A sequel series, Star Wars: Legacy Volume 2 was launched in 2013, but was cancelled a year later when Disney purchased Lucasfilm and Marvel Comics took over Star Wars comics. The comic series debuted 2006 from Dark Horse comics and ran for 50 issues, with the subsequent series Star Wars: Legacy- War concluding the central character arcs in 2011.
